The 2022 Be a Biologist! program invites children to play the role of biologists and discover the importance of biology to fields as varied as fisheries, paleobiology, plant biology, and wildlife biology. The sessions encourage students to practice scientific techniques and explore basic principles of biology as they solve real-world problems by doing hands-on experiments.
The 2021 Be an Engineer! program invites children to play the role of engineers and discover the importance of engineering to fields as varied as electrical, structural, environmental, and biomedical engineering. The sessions encourage students to practice scientific techniques and explore basic principles of engineering as they solve real-world problems by doing at-home experiments.
The 2020 Be a Chemist! program invites children to play the role of chemists and discover the importance of chemistry to fields as varied as medicine, manufacturing, art, and environmental conservation. The sessions encourage students to practice scientific techniques and explore basic principles of chemistry as they investigate these questions: How do substances change and interact with each other? How do chemists use these changes and interactions to solve real-world problems?
The 2019 Science of Me program invites children to explore the biological systems that make humans fundamentally alike and the elements that interact to create a unique individual. Through engaging hands-on exploration, students discover how food becomes our body's fuel, where oxygen goes when we breathe it, how our brains interpret the world, and what role DNA plays in making us who we are.
